I have Volvo V40 and when I step in my car with my bluetooth enabled already, I see on my Z3 Bluetooth connect sand then disconnect. This repeats all the time. When I then disable bluetooth, wait a while and enable bluetooth again, the problem is gone. I don't know for sure, but what I have see on my car's phone menu, although I get these disconnects on my phone , the disconnects are not noticed by my car. But again, I didn't look into that yet. Do you have similar problems?
I am facing the same problem with my JABRA EASYGO bluetooth headset. sometimes it disconnects by its own without giving such order.
im facing same kind of problem with my sony xperia z3. When i connected my z3 with a speaker via bluetooth, the bluetooth will shut down automatically after several minutes. This is due to bluetooth crashing and i still cant found any solution to solve this kind of problem.
Sorry to hear that you're having issues with bluetooth.
Do you know if this happens with any bluetooth device or is it only with these specific devices?
Is WiFi enabled and if so, does it help if you disable it?
I only pair it with my Volvo V40 car's system. I have wifi on location on, so in the car it is actually disabled. When it occurs, you really see it continiously connects, disconnects, connects, disconnects... and so on.
I had the app SOny SBH50 still installed although I don't use this headset anymore. So I remove this, maybe this was conflicting? But unfortunately, still the same issue. I did find out, that although it says Disconnected, it isn't. My car says it is still connected and indeed, what I have seen, it is still working. But, it is very annoying and it makes uncertain, to see all these messages all the time, that is is reconnecting every second.
I think it is a Z3 problem or Android 4.4.4. Today I have used my Xperia T with 4.3 on it, and this device doesn't have this issue with my Volvo.
Any updates on this? It is definitely a Z3 problem. I have a new one, since I dropped the other one, and this new black Z3 has the same problem. My previous white Z3 had the same issue and my Xperia T doesn't have this problem. I can confirm that although it says it keeps disconnecting and connecting, the phone actually IS connected and keeps working with my Volvo.
I've been testing bluetooth here with several devices but i can find any issue. I don't have access to any Volvo to test with though.
Have you been in contact with Volvo to check that your car is updated with the latest software and to see if they know of any issues with Android 4.4.4?
