Can you extract contacts from the Sony Ericsson backup file?

Hi,

My Z1 compact went mad on Saturday night  (no signal, constant text messages alerts, draining the battery like mad) so I got it replaced yesterday.

I backed it up to SD card using "Back Up and Restore" but I cannot restoe this backup to the new phone as it tell me it is a different software version.

Is there any way to extract the data from the SD card (via a third party app or whatever) to transfer it p lease? All my contacts are on Google, and I backed all my photo's seperately but I'd really like the text messages, and if possible the settings as it took me a long time to get this phone to work the way I wanted it to!
