After 7 days, the water should have cleared, this could be a hardware issue in this case.

You could also try making sure the mic section has no residual water, make sure to lightly blow it out or use a cotton bud to dry up any left over water that may be stuck in the grate.
Was it fresh water, a pool, salt water?
