I bought a new phone and can only see my newest backup which is empty (no contacts, no app histories) because my new phone did not synchronize with the backup from the old phone when it set up. I desperately need to access the backup from 4days ago but it seems to be overwritten by the new, empty backup - can anyone help me retrieve the older backup? My old phone's screen is broken so I cannot unlock the old phone's screen to connect for transfer between phones and neither to the pc - even with "repair" function of xperia companion does not recognize the phone.
Where did you made the backup, Xperia Companion? Xperia Backup and Restore on the phone?

Is your new phone the same model as the old?
On the automatic google drive backup of the phone. When I check "manage bqckups" via my google account on the pc I can still only see the last backup and the only option I have is to delete it but not access any older backup. I need one from May 15 or older, my phone with the cracked screen made a new backup daily but there is no local backup on my pc.
The only thing that Google backed up in my old Z5 was the device settings and some applications data, but in the Google backup any new backup overwrites the old so I don't think you can access old backups from Google.
But when you setup your new phone with your Google account all the information should have been synced.
Didn't you made backups with Xperia Companion or Xperia Backup and Restore?
