Hi there first time poster here,
I have a T-Mobile Z3, this is actually the second one as T-Mobile has replaced it a couple of months ago due to the same issue.
My Z3 is actually a back up phone as I normally use my other phone M2 dual for work, anyway, the Z3 would just heat up and drain my battery, as an example, from 91% to 81% in 5 minutes. It is just getting so frustrating since the first Z3 had the same problem and this replaement one, a couple of months old and is experiencing the same problem. What is going on with this? I have been an avid Sony user since the P800 and this is the first time I've had this experience.
