Restarted Z3, won't turn back on

I have had my Z3 since october 2104 and it once turned itself off but from looking through this forum I found out how to do a hard reset and it worked fine after that. Last night however, it kept closing the facebook app so I tried a restart, (Which usually sorts out things like that) after I did the restart, it would not turn back on. I've tried various methods to get it working again and nothing has worked. Sony chat support are not available until Tuesday as it is a bank holiday tommorow, (I am surprised they are not available on a sunday or bank holiday either by online chat or phone chat support) I really need my phone working can someone suggest something I might not have tried?

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

Is the device turned off? Make sure you do not connect it until PCC prompts you to in the repair process.

The pc companion would not proceed to the next step after I plugged the phone in to the computer
