Xperia Z (C6603) - how to downgrade firmware

Hi,

As many users around, i've updated my Xperia Z (C6603) to Lollipop 5.1.1 with OTA version (the one Sony's menu inside Android  offers) and my phone went into boot loop.

Before anyone ask, yes, i've charged it during the night.

I've also tried every possible fix i could find here and on XDA without sucess (hard reset, PC Companion, Flashtool + XperiFirm, etc).

Frustrated, i've put it into wall charger again and tried to run it one last time.

It worked.

My phone works perfectly as long i keep the wall charger connected.

What does this means? Probably dead battery so i've shipped a new one today.

But as i've seen MANY people complaining about battery issues after 5.1.1 update. Why our batteries are dying in the very moment we upgrade our firmware? Quite suspicious... I'm pretty sure 5.1.1 has some bugs even as Sony refuse to agree.

Anyway, i'd like to downgrade my phone to Lollipop 5.0 or Kitkat 4.4 but i couldn't find the original firmwares.

Where can i find them?

@uliwooly

Thanks. I'll downgrade it myself.

I have another question.

I've noticed that there are many stock firmwares around? How can i know which should i use?

My phone's SI code is 1270-4044.6, which means it originally had a Singapure (SG) firmware (according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/info-xperia-z-firmware-customizations-t2287283)

This means i MUST download a SG rom?

@uliwooly

Is there an official firmware repository or i should look at XDA/google?

There is but only if you unlock the bootloader which void the warranty and delete the DRM keys so apps and services will stop working, the alternative is the XDA forum.
