z3 compact battery replacement

Just wondering when the battery needs replacing does this have to be done. by sony. or third party as I understand this cannot be replaced by the user , I am looking ahead here as this will not need to be replaced anytime soon

You can replace it, as long as you have the spare parts and check the videos on how to do so, but it will void your warranty.

Hi, you shouldn't have to replace it for a long time......by the time it needs replacing you will probably be using a Z6 Compact

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Warranty wise, you would be best to have an authorised Sony Mobile repair agent perform the task, as they will also be able to make sure the device is water resistant after the replacement.

I really need to have my phone and not out for repair more than a day.  Can I take it to Sony service location for a battery replacement without having to mail it away?

I have managed to take the battery out of my xperia z3c and put the new one in, but I get a battery icon that just stays on for a long while then screen goes off.

Can't get the new battery to charge??? which connector does the charging the one by the camera lens or the bottom of the phone.

Have i damaged the connectors or is there a reset that'll fix it or finally could it be the pressure sensor?

Any help getting the phone working is much appreciated.

My Xperia Z3 compact is under warranty but battery life is unacceptable and obviously faulty as I am getting no more than 2 hours video view ;even Web search and Facebook short views will see my battery down from 100% to 30% extremely quickly (2.5 hr).Can I please get a free replacement and do I go back to Telstra, where I bought.

I wonder the same thing. I am in Brisbane, Australia. last time I took my phone to where I bought it the guy told me they wouldn't do it!
