Sidesense

Anyone get it to work more than 1 time in 20 attempts? The slide gestures do not work. Nice idea, shame it's been so poorly implemented.

I've found that you need to practice it a lot to fine tune it 😂. I thought you had to stroke the side of the phone first. It's just the glass at the side of the screen but you have to be touching the screen a bit too.

I have a similar problem... Is it just the X1 or older devices have the same issue?

It's terrible , particularly if you have a case

It does not work and I've seen a reviewer say the same

I learned it by cleaning up the home screen.

No choice but side sense.

Tap and let the second tap rest, don't lift.

It will work all the time as long as you are aware of a couple of things:

- Keep in mind that it is based on resistive touch technology, so a vey light swipe like you would do on a capacitive touch display will not always work. You need to press a little harder

- You need to use the same location every time, as it has a learning feature and if you swipe in different locations each time, it will not work properly. Or you can disable the automatic location learning option and set your preferred location.

Also, since it is resistive touch, I dont think it would work well with a case, except with the Sony flip cover.

It works. You have to on the edge, where the screen meets the frame, along this line ... 😉
