Xperia 1

Hello, I am a Xperia mobile phone user from China. I have purchased your products for three years. I purchased your Xperia 1 in June this year. In July, my Sony Xperia 1 fingerprint button has a problem, fingerprint button It is tilted up, like the factory is not stuck, the unlock function is normal. I want to know if there is a problem with quality control. I have not placed the phone in a damp place. I also did not drop the phone from a height. My English is not very good. I can only express my appeal with Google Translate. I hope that you can respond to my question.

Can you make a picture of a problem and post it here?

Hi @小林, very sorry to hear about this. Slightly_frowning_Face

If the fingerprint button is not in the same place as was when you received the device, I would recommend that you have the device sent in to an authorized service centres so a trained technician can examine the device.

The Local support team in your market will assist you further as I don't know the exact service routines for China and if you have any questions regarding the repair, warranty and so forth they will be able to provide a much more detailed answer than I can.

If you can take a picture that would be great, because I haven't heard/seen about this before on any of our devices.

Please keep us posted!

I would think it would be quite hard, as the sensor is part and parcel of the frame.

You practically have to dismantle the whole phone, then turn it over and remove the screen to get to it.

Hi @RottenFoxBreath,

Yeah, I read something about someone had their fingerprint sensor replaced and also had the screen replaced, so most likely the entire front screen has to be removed so a technician can gain access to the fingerprint sensor.

Since I don't work with repairing the device I'm not quite sure if the entire frame has to be removed or not.
