A7 app-c crop sensor

Sorry if this has been covered but I can’t find an answer 

I wanted to set up a custom button on my A7 for the crop sensor but it doesn’t appear on the menu! It’s a bit of a pain going into the main menu each time. 

Am I missing something or is it not possible?

On my A7R4 and A9 it is custom key set in the menu and then scroll to the button you wish to use. Select it and then select APS-C S35/FULL FRAME SELECT click ok

that should do it

Thanks John for the reply, but on the A7 it does not appear as one of the options to choose it seems. That’s why I wondered if it’s somewhere else
I’ve  just bought a 70-200 EF Sony lens and this function would be brilliant but it’s just not there. 
have checked on firmware of the camera and it’s up to date. Odd

I’m getting the feeling the A7 is too old to have this function on the custom buttons although it seems to have lots of others I use. 
I would have hoped they would have updated the firmware for the A7

Hi thanks for replying. Yes checked the firmware and all up to date. Just convinced the A7 doesn’t support this custom option even though it’s on the main menu

Thanks again Roy and an excellent suggestion. The problem is it doesn’t appear as an option their either. It’s only on the main menu. I feel a bit annoyed that as a newcomer to Sony I bought the camera 18 months but it seems it’s out of date with no updated firmware now available. Still a brilliant camera though. Thanks. Brian
