I have conected my pc with amd 590 which more than capable trough hdmi to my tv.

I have tried every possible setting including the enchanced option on tv, even creating a new resolution ar 1920 1080 120hz  but all i get is the tv wont do 120. This tv is 120hz capable and this is driving me crazy.

Have you confused the Hz of the panel with those of the signal?

Thats crazy! All the reviews I read tested the tv as 120hz capable, also there are many se9005 owners on forums that are using it at 1080 120hz, and I am sure I was told it was 120hz from the shop I bought it from just a month ago.

Its also listed as 120 capable here

Could it be a europe vs usa specs?

So is this tv not capable of 120hz? It supposed to be sonys premium model..

Hello @alexhill,

the TV has a refresh-rate of 120Hz (NTSC) or 100Hz (PAL), it just doesn't support 120Hz/100Hz signals.

It interpolates the frames in between when using e.g. a 60Hz or 50Hz signal.

Could you please link the reviews, which stated it would work with 120Hz/100Hz signals, since Sonys product page clearly states the highes refresh rate signal it supports is 60Hz.

120 Hz is NTSC Panel's Refresh rate (100 Hz in PAL).
