Connected devices.
Hi all, I have a 55XH9505 tv, and I have removed two items that were connected to the tv, ie, Humax BT box and a sound bar ( upgraded so I don't need them) my problem is.... Can I delete these obsolete items off the page where the connected devices are listed?? Because I have too many devices listed now, and half of them are still showing that I don't use, would a 'soft' reset do the trick? If not, could one of you guys give me some advice. Kind regards muvoda.

Hi all, sorry I haven't reported back, I'm working away from home at the moment and probably will not return until a week on Fri, so please bear with me and as soon as I get the time I will post my results, I do apologise. muvoda.

Hi guys, no luck I'm afraid, I suppose I will have to live with it, I refuse to do a factory reset because it's all set up how I want it, so I'm afraid there is nothing more I could try, thanks for all your input, I'm a little annoyed but it's something I can live with, Take care all. Regards muvoda.

Thanks for letting us know, and hope this gets fixed in the future software update without you having to perform a factory reset for the TV.

Yeah too right, You would have thought Sony would have a 'delete device' button on a year old tv? Surely I am not the only person that decides to change connected devices🤔 so why 'SONY'? don't you have a button so you can delete unused devices instead of them piling up when not connected, people change, devices change, the world changes, obviously SONY DONT. Take it easy all. muvoda.

Hopefully this gets changed in the next software update, and you won't have to do a factory reset for the TV.

No, no factory reset for me, everything is working as it should, apart from the 'ghost devices' that I have got rid of, I am just glad that I don't have to keep looking at them, thanks anyway for your input and let's hope they sort this problem out, sooner rather than later. Regards muvoda.

Hey muvoda, why don't you do a factory reset? I do it for all of my devices, even my phones, every now and then to improve the overall OS performance, I'm the one who sets it up so not a big deal for me. Just interested to know your point of view.

Hi @HannahEd01 thank you for your input, I will probably do a factory reset but not at the moment, I'm busy with work and I don't get much time, I know it's just a matter of pressing a button but I will bide my time and post the results when I get around to doing it. Kind regards muvoda.

Hi @Anonymous, yeah I will, but I am so annoyed with Sony, this definitely needs to be sorted out, hopefully on the next update, fingers crossed. Cheers muvoda.
