Hi,
Does anyone know the network speed of my KD-49XG9005?
I'm trying to play 4K content from my network drive but I keep getting buffering.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Regards
Paul
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX connector, but trust me, isn't the problem... Also for the 4K...
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Do you have an idea what the problem is?

Paul
Maybe... The Player? Can you try another Player like Archos/Nova for exemple? Or VLC's...
Hi again,
I already tried VLC and the Video app that was pre-loaded, they all do the same.
I asked on another forum and was told the Ethernet connection was not fast enough to stream 4K.
The advice was to switch over to 5Ghz WiFi and since I tried that, it has been OK so far.
I'll let you know how I get on long term.
Regards,
Paul
Hi,

Every now and then (mainly on larger UHD files) playback either buffers or stops.
It's a pity the hardwired connection isn't faster.

Paul
Hi Arthur,
I will take your advice and get in touch with them.
If I receive a solution, I will come back and post it here,

Paul
What do you expect from the support ? Just do the math: file size/duration in seconds *8. If it is closer or over 100mbps you'll never succeed. But in this case you are trying probably to stream a bluray and I'd suggest you to use the disk.
Incase you are under let say 90 mbps you have a problem with your network setup or your nas
My xf90 never gets anywhere near 100Mbps via lan - am lucky to get 40 on Netflix and other speed test apps. Laptop plugged into the same wire is at 200Mbps
