Is there an official place to request this?
I saw:
but it doesn’t seem at all active?
Does Sony TV have a “Features Request” page?
Hi Pat100,
I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi Pat100,
I've checked the Sony website and I can see that your TV supports HDR: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors/articles/00167110.
Also, it should support HLG: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors/articles/00161421
I am not sure if HDR10+ will be supported in the future or not.
Cheers,
The_Black_Rose
Thanks, The_Black_Rose
Why do you want that? It is even more useless compared to Dolby Vision. HDR10+ hardly has any supporters in the content industry anymore. From a visiual point of view, HDR10 is enough as TVs typically analyze content frame by frame anyway. You will only make up differences when watching stuff side-by-side and even then it is a matter of taste which version looks "better".

I thought that the opinions there about the advantages of the enhancements of HDR were interesting.
I really don’t know how to post here!
How do I add to the thread without replying to a post?
I’ve just made two wonderfully erudite posts that have failed to appear.
Have I breached some rules? They seemed pretty bland to me?
(Trying my post without the link and the emoji to see if it appears now!)
I’m not trying to compare HDR10+ with Dolby Vision. I watch a lot of HDR10 + content on Prime.
Google: hd report titles amazon
I’d like my TV set to support the streaming content that I watch so that I can see it as it is intended rather than have it default to HDR10.
I have seen it suggested that enhanced HDR may give a brighter picture than HDR10.
And I have seen a lot of comments about dark HDR pictures.
And I’d say to Sony: “Why NOT implement HDR10+?”
If I knew how to contact them
IN oredr to create a new thread you have to simply press "new message" below the welcome frame...
Regardless of the opinion on HDR10+ (I agree with @Kuschelmonschter ) I'd suggest you enjoy amazon prime in HDR10 without thinking to much of what you may loose on the HDR10+ version (it is the same streaming, you just skip the additional dynamic metadata if any is present): even if someone in Sony will decide to agree with you and add HDR10+ to their platform 99% will be not available for your current tv...
No, I mean how to add to a current thread without appearing to reply to the previous poster. i.e. reply to a thread not to a person.
I don’t get the 99%. Are you referring to Prime’s output or to the Universe?
If the former, did you try Googling my suggestion to help with compiling statistics? (Every time I try to post the direct link to make it easier for you, my posts disappear - I think that I may have offended a moderator)
