ITVX app was fine until yesterday (12 April). Sony TV Model is KD-49XH8505. Suddenly icon has changed from ITVX to ITV for no apparent reason and I'm getting a message which reads: "Update to ITVX. Some features may be limited in this version of the app. Please update the ITVX app from your app store. An error has occurred. ObjectfromEntries is not a function."
Have tried everything but it's apparently not possible to uninstall and reinstall unless I do a factory reset. Sony won't refer it up unless I do a factory reset first. Don't want to do that as I can't recall all the passwords from when we set up things like Amazon Prime, Now etc etc and so getting by casting via chromecast from tablet, which is OK but a bit cumbersome and shows that the problem is with the inner workings of the TV. Has anyone with a similar model found a way of sorting this? Thanks!
I have the same message
and have tried and tried but have not over come this yet !!!!
Hi Steve.271
The same thing happened to me today. It was fine last night but now I have the same on screen message as you. ITVX helpline weren't any help. It seems to be a problem with Sony. Hope someone can help.
Everything was working fine yesterday and today this message occurs when I try to open the app - which still says ITVX not ITV Hub
It appears to be a general problem, clearly something has changed at ITVX that Sony TVs don’t like. I would report it to Sony.

On my XR-55A95K (note please don’t post without quoting your model number) I get the error screen but when I select Continue it works as normal.
I tried running Check for updates in the Manage apps and games which updated the Google TV Home, but it didn’t make any difference. Sony need to be made aware so please report it to them.
These ***** at Sony have ***** us over again. I have a TV that was sold as being an Android TV that could watch catch-up and yet again here we are with the ***** apps not working because they have bodged it through Sony select. I am going to go back to my retailer and make a claim that the product they sold me is not "fit for purpose" (consumer law gives you 6 years from date of purchase) and get one that is. It's John Lewis. They won't put up a fight and if they do I'll sue them, which is something I regularly do (not John Lewis, but other companies, and have never lost)
I have logged my case. As many as possible please, especially Android TVs as my Google TV continues to work after selecting Continue so the problem may be different.
