This has happened on a couple of occasions.
Push power button on remote for the first time in the morning, nothing happens.
Remote working OK (mobile phone camera tested).
TV appears to have a non functioning IR detector.
Try rebooting, unplugging everything, nothing. Try getting into settings impossible as you only have the three buttons on the side.
Approximately 8 hours later try TV remote again and everything is fine?????
I can only think that this is caused by software/hardware update and for whatever reason it shuts the detector down. I can see, think of no other answer.
Anyone?
8 hours later, the sun has moved round its course. Could this be relevant?
It sounds like a power or software glitch, you can make sure the TV is updated to the latest version and monitor it to see if that solves it for you.
I've also seen on other forums that it could be an external device causing an electrical interference, the most common being an aerial.
Hope this helps!
