KD49EXE8005 unable to connect to apps

Help please as I am having repeated issues being unable to watch bbciplayer, all4, five demand etc.

The tv is saying that it is connected to the internet.  Eg trying bbc iplayer just now and getting the message - an error has occurred. Please try again later.  I have gone to the network which tells me that it is connected (sometimes this will say no internet but currently I do not have this message)

 

Extremely frustrating at this time of year when at home during the day and wanting to watch the tv.  

 

Any advice is very much appreciated!

Hi sneish,

 

Could you try refreshing the Youview application by pressing on Home, Settings, Apps, scroll down through the apps until you find YV service host, clear cached data and repeat the same with Youview app and let us know the outcome?

Hi,  the tv had been working quite well but then tonight watching All4 I encountered the problem with the programme sticking again and again.

 

I have now done as you suggested.  My tv says that I am connected to the internet but I am not able to access bbc iplayer, all4, itv player etc.

 

message says ' an error has ocurred try again later'

 

What can I do next?

 

Could you also explain what the procedure I followed from your instructions does to the tv?  Is this something that you should do regularly?

This is getting extremely frustrating now - trying to watch a box set on All4 and it picks up the 1st advert and then sticks, does the same thing again and again.  

 

I then logged into my ipad to download the episode there and was able to cast it to the tv and it played no problem.

 

Any ideas on what the problem could be?????

Could this be that my television is not picking up the internet signal well and is this a known problem? Someone has suggested that perhaps the software on the tv is not good.

 

I am able to pick up All4 on the ipad and then cast the programme onto the tv and tonight I connected an amazon firestick and watched an episode no problem through it.  

 

It really is when trying to use the television on its own that the problem occurs and when purchasing a new tv that was the last thing on my mind that it would cause me viewing problems:(
