My remote stopped controlling my Virgin TV box

It was working fine today and suddenly stopped working on my Virgin TV box. I have tried to reset it but it is still the same, no reaction. Tried the Virgin remote and the box is working fine. The Sony TV is also responding fine to my remote control. The connection was lost between the Sony remote control and the Virgin TV box.

I have just had the same issue.  Did you ever find a solution?

I have tried reconnecting the remote and it appears to be setup but all the controls are unresponsive.
