No 5.1 audio on Netflix on xf9005

I don't see a 5.1 audio icon on Netflix on the XF9005 android tv. I have a pair of sony mdr-ds6500 headphones connected to the tv via optical out and they work fine elsewhere. For example if I use the netflix app from a ps4 pro via same headphones then I see the 5.1 audio icon on the shows that support it..

Is it a netflix app issue or something I need to change in the settings?

I found the problem.  Thought I'd post Incase anyone else has this issue.  It was down to having a cable connected to the headphone jack which must have been over riding the digital audio and netflix choosing the headphone jack as default sound, even though it was only a extension cable and not actual headphones connected.
