I am having authorisation problems

I have recently bought a new computer (Windows 7). My previous operating system was Windows XP. The Reader Library software has been successfully transferred to my new computer but I can no longer transfer books from the Reader Library to the reader device. The error message I receive is "This eBook cannot be transferred because the Reader is authorised to another user". I have made sure I am registered on the Sony site and I have an Adobe ID and password. Both the Reader Library and my reader device show the correct authorisations. Cany anyone advise what else I can check to resolve the problem?

Hi I am sorry to advise you cant just copy DRM material from one PC to another, the hidden protection will not match, in order to resolce this issue, you will need to delete any purchased books and download them again from the book store, using your Adobe details will reconfigure your new PC.

Hiya Ann,

Please ensure that when your purchasing books and transferring them onto your reader, that the e-mail address used is the same.

In this occasion please try the following:

- connect reader to computer

- load reader software- sony reader library

- click on reader, will show on the left hand side panel of the reader library software

- hold down ctrl + shift and tap d 3-4 times.

- Safetly remove device from computer

- On reader go to settings -> About and check on the second paragraph the last sentence ' you are not authorised...'

- you have de-authorised your reader.

- connect your reader back up to computer and drag and drop another book to reader, it will prompt you to authorise, please then authorise with the same e-0mail address as your adobe id and purchased book.

You shouldn't have any more problems

I have tried everything written here, but having bought an ereader which has been de-authorised i cannot now authorise it.

My ereader is a PRS-600 and i keep getting the following message

Reader authorization failed. Network connection was lost. Please check your internet connection and try again. (-441)

Internet connection is fine and as far as i know all email addresses match up...

Can anyone help... please
