I've purchased an ICF DS15ip clock radio ipod docking station which was built for ipods up to the 4th generation Touch.
I have a new 5th generation Touch but thought by buying an adapter all be ok. However, although it charges it, the ipod itself won't work with no sound being heard through the speakers. The adapter is built for sound/video.
Reading the box now makes me wonder about the ICF DS15iP's software. Is it likely that the unit isn't capable of working the 5th generation because of it's software no matter which adapter used? If so, can the software be updated as there is no usb connector?
