XDR-DS12iP Ipod function

I bought this Sony unit 7 weeks ago and was happy with it until this morning, when I found the Ipod function had stopped working.

The Ipod displayed a brief message ' this unit is not supported.'  So what the hell is happening?  There was a recent Apple Ipod update, hmmmm.....

hi,,,,, copy the same problem,,,,, everything worked perfect until the update 4.3.5

it will be nice if some one in sony can test and confirm....

Hi, Ii got the answer...

1. Soft reset the iphone or ipod

2. unplug the docking for 5 minutes

3. turn both on.

after that everything worked for me...

Thanks for your replies.  I did unplug the transformer on the weekend and plugged in again...hey presto it is working...for now.

Hi,  Bit of a newbie what do you mean by soft reset the iphone??  I have an iphone 3gs and recently had an update (sorry forgot which one but had to temporarily take fire wall off pc to get it to update) now the iphone will charge on the docking station but wont play tunes through iPod.  Any ideas??

Hi this thread is a couple of months old, did this work ok before you did iOS5?  there are lots of web reports about issues after iOS5

I have tested with iOS5 and seems to be all ok, try to check you Apple product on anither device, seems to be too many complaints at this time to say its the XDR-DS12iP
