I have bought an MHC-V83D. While playing my music, independent from playing it over Bluetooth or wired connection, the sound is randomly interruped by going a short period in mute and showing in the display "LVL ...". Some days it takes place once in an hour, some days it is every 10 minutes. How can I solve this issue?
Hi ingub82,
I would recommend to reset the unit: https://helpguide.sony.net/has/mhc-v83d/v1/en2/contents/TP0002736369.html?search=indicator
I have not connected an microphone. Also the reset did not work!
Hello @ingub82,
have you tried every option on the touchpad to maybe "force" the behavior? Maybe it is a bad contact on top of the device which triggers an effect which mutes the music temporarily?!
Also have you tried covering the IR-Sensor? Maybe the remote or another device send a command which mutes the music. The crosscheck would be to cover the IR receiver on the device to block ANY IR signal.

Hi ingub82 , if all the steps didn't work I suggest to send it for inspection.

HI
Have you found a solution to this problem yet? I've got the same issue and I am frustrated.
Thanks But this doesn't work. Some say the software needs an update, I have updated it, still problem persists.
Hey @sholacivileng
I don't think that this model has an update option.
But you can try the steps in these links to troubleshoot the issue:

Also, you can try to test the speakers with other devices and check if the same issue will happen or not so we can eliminate the factors
