Close - it’s probably a BDV-N9200W.

To most closely match what you had before the blue laser went on the fritz, plug a new Sony BluRay player into HDMI1 or HDMI2 on the unit, and operate it from there. This will then be able to play the full gamut of sound, and send full HD to the TV.

If you plug a new BluRay player into the TV, however, then while it can play the full HD, it won’t be able to send the full gamut of sound to the 9200, as the 9200 is only an ARC device, not an eARC one.

So those are two reasons to plug a new BluRay player into the 9200, and not the TV.

However, you still haven’t said what the TV is; if it’s not UHD, I don’t need to know, but if it’s a UHD one, and you might consider a UHD BluRay player, let me know for some further, perhaps slightly different, advice.
