Hi there,
I just got my new Blu-ray player, and it causes me some minor problems.
I connected HDMI 1 on the Blu-ray to HDMI 1 on the TV. Then I connected the HDMI 2 to the Blu-ray HDMI input on the amplifier.
The TV is connected to the amplifier's TV into HDMI input from the HDMI 3 (eARC) port.
That way I get 4K resolution on the TV and good sound.
Here's my problem: If I turn on the Blu-ray player, TV automatically switches to HDMI 1 (as expected), but the amplifier switches to the TV input as it obviously counts the TV signal from HDMI 3 for "more than" the Blu-ray.
I then have to switch to BD manually on the amplifier to get audio. How do I get it fixed?
Hi Glen,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
I'm looking into this and will update the thread if I have a solution. In the meantime, perhaps another member of the community might be able to advise.
Best wishes,
Sean
Since you have an ARC-ready connection, why not connect the payer directly into the TV? Audio will still be output from the amp, without having to switch, and you can simply switch inputs from the TV (apps vs player for example).
Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately, this will create another problem. Then If I want to play an audio CD, the TV will be on.
