If you want to turn off the automatic update of apps in your Xperia phone by opening Play Store > Tap the three horizontal lines in the top left corner > Tap Settings > Tap Auto-update apps. In this menu you are able to choose whether you want the auto-update to be active for WiFi only, both WiFi and mobile data or if you want to turn off the auto-update for apps on your phone.
