Xperia M4 Aqua Dual micrphone not working

I bought M4 Aqua some two weeks back. The microphone seems to be not functioning properly, nobody can hear me on the other end. I took it to the Sony Service Center, where they re-installed the OS and it was working fine for a night (I did app updates overnight as prompted by the system). Next day problem has resurfaced.

It is failing the diagnostics test, i have switched of the Microphone noise supression and also done a factory reset. the problem still persists. Please help.

@Dennyt

Boot on safe mode and test it again, it could be a third party app acting up

This is to bring to your attention that right from DAY 1 when I purchased the Mobile Phone, the Dual Microphones are not working.

The Service Centre (M/s Reapir and Return, Chennai) have also been deficient in their service and are yet to get the Spare Parts for repair. I understand that this Microphone problem is quite common in the M2 and M4 Aqua Models of the Sony Experia Mobile Phones.

SONY must GIVE ME A NEW MOBILE PHONE as a replacement as the repaired instrument will always give problems.

Hope somebody in SONY Reads this and takes suitable corrective action - URGENTLY!

i bought the m4 aqua 2 days ago. The phone is completely useless because of the microphone issue. All my friends complainig that they don't hear me or that they don't understand me. I had a z3, sadly because of stupidity i crushed it. I thought the m4 would be good alternative because i don't need a super cam and a super high resolution display.

I recommand everyone not to buy this piece of crap, also because the phone gets really hot on the backside.

Okay, people who all are suffering from the mic issue in their Xperia M4. I got the soultion in here, one day full and mic did not given on me yet.
Go to Google Now > Settings > Voice > Ok Google detection, and turn on From Any Screen.
Worked for me like a charm, now phone listens to me whenever i test the mic.
And yeah, download another app, "Sound About" from play store, install it and keep it handy as u gonna use it often.
In the app, go to Connectable Devices > wired headphones > and uncheck Wired Headphones detection.
Remeber, u have always to enable it before using the headphones and then disable it after using the headphones. Since This whole mic problem isnt on Sony's side this time. Its a bug from Google's Lollipop (5.0), after pulling out the headphones the OS does not re-enable the mic as it should.
done the research and found that many Nexus 4,5 owners suffered from it when they were on 5.0
So, hope for 5.1 update this August and good luck.

Yes, confirmed it works.

I have same issue.

Go to your google profile Settings and change it to  --> Google Detection.

Thanks a lot.
