40CX523 CANT PLAY YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Hi, 

I can't play large youtube clips on sony 40cx523, Its just skips the clips and plays some of the small clips. anyone have any idea.

Hi,

I've similar issue on my 40hx720. When HD video quality option is selected on Youtube, some of the HD marked videos can't be played. I've found these videos on my notebook: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bb8P7dfjVw and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC1TIis-cmI. The first one is "Sony Bravia (Bouncy Balls)" TV advertisment. It's marked as HD on my TV, but in browser I see it's available only in 240p and 360p quality. The second is "Apple WWDC 2012 Keynote Pt. 4: iOS 6". It's available in up to 720p quality.

If I switch to SD video quality on Youtube on my TV all the videos can be played.

I have brought my TV to official Sony service, they tried to replace a main board without success. I believe it's software issue.

Thanks mate. yes its works on SD but skips on HD. maybe will get update from sony soon:smileyconfused:

After updating my TV to latest FW version PKG4.012EUA the issue is gone!
