Hello I am new here and I want your help.I own a KDL55HX820 since 17 December 2011.It had the latest firmware update, but two days ago the tv informed me that there is a new update to install. The update's code is PKG3.904EUA-0104 but this is not in Sony's site. Now it is installed in my tv but I wonder if it is right since it has not been announced by Sony. Thank you for your time.

Mine was also updated last night, and I notice that the update has now appeared on the Sony website. It doesn't give much info about it though:

I also had an update on my Sony TV last night but there is no update details on the site for my model either. Anyone know?

Thanks for that.
thank you also for your help, today it's been announced officially on the site.
I suspect that the 'improvement in 1080p/i transitions' referred to is the bug associated with recordings on the HDD drive that I posted on some time ago (i.e. on recording replay, the OSD was showing the sound format at each and every picture transition). Catmambo confirmed it was being worked on.
Haven't had the opportunity to check yet whether the firmware update has fixed this however.
Thanks a lot buddy.
Hi there alexdan2: A week ago, my brand new Bravia KDL-37EX720 prompted me: "SW upgrade available" (or something like that - it speaks Czech). I reacted by: POSTPONE. After that I received couple of the same messages. Being afraid of re-installing, I always reacted by postpone (not sure whether my wife did the same, my Settings SW update has been set to Automatic all the time, so am not sure about download history). When checking my SW version at TV Settings (right now) it tells me the code you wish to use: PKG3.904EUA-0104. It should come from Sony, I feel. The YouTube reference:
