I am trying to get a TP-Link TL-WN823N wireless adaptor to work in a Bravia KDL-40EX503 TV.
The usb WLAN works in my laptop and connects to the network ok, but as soon as it is plugged into the tv, I get the message in the title of this question. It won't let me alter any network settings as it thinks there is no device there.
Am I missing something obvious or is it anything like this device being uncompatibe?
Thanks.

Thanks Quinnicus. It's my girlfriend's parents tv, and I've just done a bit of internet searching. Should have done this first :smileyblush:.

Hi there
Unfortunately all other wireless adaptors will not work with Sony TV's. The one you want is called the UWABR100

Cheers

Your tv has a WIFI integrated board, doesn't need an adapter at all....
