Why can't i get HD on my dongled bbc i-player? Friend receives it through Sony Blu- ray player via HDMI   into Bravia TV

Can you give a bit more background to the issue? There is no HD iplayer on BRAVIA as its delivered via MHEG ( like Freesat) and the BBC haven't switched on the HD feed for MHEG yet. Blu-ray is delivered via HTML ( like your traditional PC iPlayer) thus has support for HD.
