Sony KDL-42W829B - Internet Connection FAILED [Can't connect to internet]
For the past few days, I've tried watching Netflix on my 42" Sony KDL - 42W829B, but keep receiving this message when trying to connect to the internet - my internet is working fine and my 2015 Android TV doesn't have this problem:
Here are the things I've done
- 3 x factory resets
- rebooted and restarted my wireless router
- changed my internet password
- set up a new network
- refreshed network connection
During the three years I've owned this TV set, I've never enncoutned this problem.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi there
- Q1 - Can you please tell me if anything has changed on your side of things?
- Q2 - Do you know when this started? You said the last couple of days - was this Friday?
- Q3 - Has the error message changed or is the problem slightly different since this first started?
- Q4 - What is your ISP? If its BT, do you have the HomeHub 3 router?

- Nothing has changed. The TV is still giving me that message. My internet is connecting to everything - ipad, mobile, mac and sony andrioid tv.
- Q2 - Yes. Friday aftertoon was when this problem first occured.
- Q3 - It used to give a an error of 107 or something, but now it just gives the message in the above picture.
- Q4 - BT and it's homehub 2.0

Thanks for the answers
I dont suppose you can do a couple of tests:
- Test using an ethernet cable instead of wifi
- Test using a different router
Some speculation here
- Something happened on Friday with Sony servers going down. They came back up sometime saturday morning. See this thread HERE. This is why you had problems friday.
What is not clear is why your tv fails to connect to the internet now.
