Disable on-screen-volume and beep?

Hi,
how can I disable or remove the on-screen-display and the volume-"beep" on my vaio VGN-A217S??

Hi Peter,

The “beep” plays from a Wave Sound file called pi.wav. You can move, rename or delete this file which will stop the sound from playing.

Pi.wav can usually be found in C:\Program Files\Sony\Vaio Event Service.
