FS Series Woes continued.

This rate im going to be ditching this for something else!

Having reported last week that my cd drive wouldnt close, I have reset the bios in accordance with Sony a number of times. I found that by holding the door closed and pushing the button would work to a point.

However I am now finding that my drive will for no reason open, this can occur mid burn on cds and dvds and also when reading discs.

I am close to giving up!

If you want my advice, steer clear of the FS series and shell out for the A series if you want a VAIO.

Yeah the A series VGN A497XP 17` screen with the new generation X Black and 1 gig of RAM (max2gig) 100gig HD 256 meg HT Radeon graphics and now 2.0ghz Pantie 760 Mobile chip. The slower chip on board the previous A series range was why I went for the cheaper 3.06ghz K series which has given me no trouble touch wood but I think the A series is next on my shopping list. If I am presenting ideas without a projector I want the biggest best screen on the market......... Do I get paid now Sony? ChaChing
