After working out that the only way to get a message on here is to ask a question on the question board which is very confusing. This of course took up to 10 minutes of my time.. I am not as educated as some.
I have a computer which doesn't appear to have a recognisable video card after I naturally upgraded to Windows 8!!
I paid a lot of money for this computer (actually a laptop).
I have asked questions before on this forum, and still my video card doesn't work.
Should I fork out another £800 for another laptop so I can watch my NETFLIX who I subscribe to at £5.99 a month.. or should I wait forever for an update that SONY will not probably happen.
Who is reponsible???

I will but an apple product next time.. perhaps they don't up people stuff!

I would probably start of by asking in a nice tone - That would make people want to answer you!
Secondly, I would also tell people what kind of graphics card you have, that would make it easier for them to find you a driver and your problem would be fixed in less than 5 minutes for you(Depending on your connection and hardware).
Well said TPrillingsgaad.
Unfortunately many people mistake this user community self help forum for official Sony support, which it is not and never has been.
Davinor has a VPCEB1SOE which is not presently, and most likely never will be, supported by Sony for upgrade to Windows 8. I believe that Davinor has been advised that the only option is to wait for Win 8 drivers (if that ever happens) in a reply to a previous post.
Rich
I apologise if I sounded obtuse. I realise this is not helpful.
I have noticed that there seems to be quite a large number of Models that Sony has produced and not all compatible with Windows 8.
I am guessing that my laptop will no longer play videos or anything like that.
I DO however, have a kindle Fire HD which I can watch videos to my heart's content so not all is lost.
Apologies again
Davinor
