Hi all, 1st time poster. My laptop keeps freezing at random, and especially when i run security scans. I had microsoft essentials and have just upgraded to the lastest norton product and still no joy. The scans always seem to freeze on a "system32/drivers

It would seem that you have a corrupt system file. On which file within System32/Drivers is the scan freezing?

What operating system are you running?
