Hello every one,
I was installing Windows 7 (64bit) on my VAIO(VGN NW11Z) previously having VISTA(32bits). The installation went through the first three steps and could not progress when it arrived the last (COMPLETING INSTALLATI0N). i Left it for about six hours but there was no change. I forcefully restarted it and observed that;
It attemps loading Windows, up to the level where the Windows logo appears and next the message (SETUP IS STARTING SERVICES) and finally (INSTALLATION CAN NOT CONTINUE, RESTART INSTALLATION) and this is an endless loop.
I also tried running a UBUNTU LIVE CD but it was not succesful.
Please what next can I ?
Thanks
Hi tchenwa,
I assume that this was a clean install of Widows 7 as you cannot upgrade from 32bit to 64bit.
I suggest that you return your machine to factory settings using your Vista recovery media and then try the installation of Windows 7 once more.
Prior to installing Win 7 it would be as well to run the upgrade advisor.
