I Don't like my VAIO VGF-AP1

last wednesday i bought my vaio pocket
I also have a Creative Zen nx 30gb wich works perfect , even better than my vaio tough
my Zen is more innovative than the vaio, also the software of creative is much better than SonicStage because i can easely change every song directly on my player with sonicstage you can't do it that easy, and a lot of other things
The firmware and software s*cks to me
Creative I'll never doubt you again
I'm gonna trie to bring back my vaio to the store
and hope i get my money back or change it for a new Creative player

Contra's Vaio
example1 :
i have downloaded songs to my player without checking and changing the id3tag of every song , how can i change the album, title, artist or genre at one time ?
=> NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VAIO NOR SS IF YOU DIDN'T TAG CORRECTLY IT'S NOT SONY'S PROBLEM
example 2:
you can't put your mp3's back to a pc without software and firmware updates
THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL DRM. YOUR MUSIC IS IN YOUR PC AND NOT IN ANOTHER
example 3:
Ican't play mp3's directly from my player on a computer
WHAT FOR ?
I can't insert variable mp3's
THAT'S A PITY CAUSE I CAN
I cant browse or search for a song and play it as a preview without deleting my playlist
????????
if Iwant to search for a song (in my library of 4000 songs) i have to scroll all the way down till I find it
????????
I can't make profiles (like a mobile phone)
GROUP IS MADE FOR THAT
Well it seems that the problems have nothing to do with your Sony. Why did you bring it back

yer I was wondering that because some of his problems arnt actually problems and some dont make sense

I reccomend reading manuals on advanced devices or just stick with simple technology like the creative player.:smileylove:

Believe me I'm a fanatic id3Tagger  and sometimes there are songs that I've forgotten to change
And sometimes i want to put music on another computer
Or play music on my laptop from my HD player so i have a nice overview
And lots of my mp3's wouldn't work on my Vaio
Sometimes I want to play a song without screwing up my playlist and thats why i use the preview ( after the preview stops the music from my playlist continous playing) this can be very usefull sometimes

The Vaio Pocket mp3 support is grudging at best - it is also churlish of Sony to add a DRM layer to a non DRM format during transfer. Sony Entertainment rules Sony Electronics.

And SonicStage  - they're just having a laugh

My wind-up post for the week

Is it possible to add Music files to a VAIO VGF-AP1 from two different computers?
(without deleting the entire library on the AP1 & starting again)

I cannot find the 'device authorize' feature in the European version of SonicStage.
I have a laptop (S-series) & a desktop (non vaio) & if I cannot find a way of transferring audio from both I will almost certainly bring my Pocket VAIO back & get a refund.

Please help before I lose faith in Sony:smileycry:

I might have sorted it out by upgrading SonicStage on both my laptop (which seemingly has the US version??) & on my desktop.

I still don't understand the initialize thing but maybe this will become clear with time.
