Do Sony have such a thing as Take-Apart manuals?
Apple give free access to their engineers of loads of PDF files on how to take apart all their machines step by step, fault finding, screw matrix's etc. They are supposed to be restricted documents, but I've noticed people selling CD's full of them on eBay.
I was just wondering if Sony have the same idea, as it would be handy to have if I ever decided to put a bigger HD or something in my T2XP.
Thanks in advance!
Pete
You can get the user manuals from Vaio-Link. If you click on the change memory tab you should get to see some diagrams. Click here to go there.
Its not the user manual I'm after...
Its one that they give to Engineers for repairing the machines. They tell you how to totally strip the machine down etc.
Just wondering if Sony do these sort of things?
No they don't. But the user manual should give instructions as to how to strip it down enough to get new RAM in etc. Not a complete strip-dpwn I grant you but something at least.
You can't find more than a guide for uprading RAM, in the manual. Keep the user stupid is the best way to earn money.
Too true Seb:smileysad:
Sony do produce service manuals but access to these is pretty difficult. Rare as rocking horse sh*t . . . . .
Yeah they're quite hard to get hold of!
Which is a shame
I've had a look on eBay and it seems people are selling service manuals for loads of Vaio's for about £2! Just not mine 😞
