For the last few days, viewing a video on TV through the Media receiver is jerky: from time to time (irregularly) the picture and sound freeze for a few seconds. When the flow becomes smooth again it picks up where the elapsed time puts it ¿ i.e., if it froze for 10 seconds it picks up with 10 seconds lost. If I rewind a little and start again, it may or may not freeze again, and when it does, it's often not in the same place.
I tried giving the GigaPocket Server process a higher priority, but it doesn't change anything (the process is very low on CPU anyway). Defragmenting the files didn't help either.
The Media receiver is connected through a cable, not WiFi.
VGC RA-104, XP Home with all available updates. The only change I can think of that might have an influence was applying the latest batch of Windows security patches. No other significant system change.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Have you tried a system restore to before those updates
