Hi, I hope somebody can help me.
I've just purchased a VAIO portable digital music player.
When I switch it on it goes into setup mode and asks me to select language, but unfortunately I can't seem to get past this stage. It just then goes to the "DO NO TOUCH THE PAD" message, and then after a few settings "IT'S OK TO TOUCH THE PAD" and then back to the language selection screen then repeat ad infinitum. I cannot power the thing off then, other than hitting the reset button!
Am I misssing something obvious here, or have I purchased a faulty piece of kit?
As I'm unable to "boot" it I cannot say what firmware version is installed, nor can I update it!
Any help appreciated!
sounds faulty to me m8.
Take it back and get a new one, once its working you will LOVE it!
Oh no not again !
This old cherry keeps coming up.
First - DO NOT fiddle with the touchpad until the VP has been fully charged.
Second - until you have calibrated the touch screen you have to press quite hard to make it work.
Give it a go - you may find that it sorts this out . If not ,then yes, you may have a dud but this "problem " keeps coming up time and time again!!!!
