MATSHI.TA BD-MLT UJ272 Bluray/DVD player/writer no longer able to burn DVD/Bluray discs.
Hi,
I have a Sony VAIO SVF1531C5E laptop with a MATSHI.TA-MLT UJ272 Bluray/DVD player/writer, but since updating to Windows 10 it no longer seems to be able to burn dvd or blurays.
I've included a pic of the DVD/Bluray drive name as the forum automatically blanks it out as it detects a swear word so I've had to add a full stop in the name 😂.
It was working before, is there a firmware update for it for Windows 10, or any actions I need to take to make it work again?
Thanks.

Hi,
Do you see an error message when trying to burn a disc?
Cheers
Peter

The Vaio line was discontinued back in 2016 (if my memory serves). So I very highly doubt there are specialized drivers available for Windows 10 from Sony, but you can try using the Windows Update or Device Manager to check for an update. Or if both of those fail, rollback the update if you absolutely must have the burner feature.
