Memory capacity on Vaio VPCEB2Z1E

Hello Community!

I have recently got my hands on a Sony Vaio VPCEB2Z1E laptop, and I would like to put some more memory in it. Therefore, I'm wondering how much it can handle. It has 4GB today, and I would like to put 16GB in it. Anyone know?

I have scoured the interwebs, and only managed to find a User Manual for this model. Otherwise, nothing. Nothing on Sony's Esupport pages, nor anywhere else.

According to CRUCIAL the maximum memory supported (not to exceed manufacturer supported memory) is 8GB. Whether it will recognize more than this on a 64-bit OS is only open to experimentation....

Thank you for the reply! Same as I managed to find in a corner of the internet. 

It looks like I just have to decide whether to wing it on 16GB or to play it safe on 8GB....

Hi @Ronin_pH,

Personally, as Crucial offer a 2x4GB kit as at resonable price, I would stick at that....up to you.
