My laptop is 6 months old and it has just started to jump back into the middle of other words when I type, so it takes forever to type anything..any ideas?

Hi leplanol,

It may be that you are inadvertently making contact with the touchpad whilst typing, but why this has suddenly started is difficult to explain.

You have not given us your model number so precise guidance is difficult but have a look at the Pointing Device advanced settings in Vaio Control Center. Hopefully you will find PalmCheck Sensitivity which can be adjusted.

If this makes no difference then try re-installing the Pointing Device driver.
