Hi
I tried to recovery my Sony vaio SVF15N1B4E from USB , it running and stuck at 87% , and I found this message ( there was a problem recovering your PC ) , I tried many times but it doesn't work.
please advice
Hi @ebrahimzahran and welcome to the Community
Does the process always stop at 87 percent?
If so it's possible that the recovery media is faulty / corrupted.
If you can still accerss your pc have you tried recovering using the recovery area that's on your hard drive? (With Vaio Care) If its still there you could try creating new recovery media too.
Hi
i can't access to my Laptop.
thanks
Hi again
Have you actually removed the recovery partition / totally formatted your hard drive?
If not then it may still be possible for you to start a recovery:
The VAIO Care (Rescue Mode) screen appears.
Follow the on-screen instructions until the Choose an option screen appears.
Follow the on-screen instructions until the VAIO Care (Rescue Mode): VAIO recovery solutions screen appears.
Hi
i didn't formate the recovery partition. But I can't see it in my computer drivers , but I see it in disk management without drive letter like C or D
how I can make the recovery partition active?
how I can get back to restore factory settings?
but I didn't find any option to do that.
I tried every possible way, but my laptop doesn't work
Now I made a USB windows 10 , and I install it , now my laptop is working
I need all the Sony vaio softwares, but I didn't find this software in the website.like video and audio software.
Regards
Ibrahim
Hi again
It looks like the recovery media was to blame as you could install something else without any trouble.
The problem you have is that its not the original operating system supplied specifically for your Sony unit so
it won't contain any Sony software or specific drivers that Sony bundled with the operating system.
I'm guessing that pressing the Assist button doesn't work and that you don't have Vaio Care any more?
Have you checked the drivers on the support page Here?
It lists the original graphics and audio drivers on that page which are worth a try
It may also be worth contacting Sony support to ask about purchasing recovery media
with your original OS on it.
