I bought my Vaio from Sony with Office pro 2010 pre installed. I have just checked back on my emails from them that I did indeed do this and did not buy it from another retailer or upgrade the trial afterwards.
I have just had to recover my laptop from the partition built into the system.
Now it is asking for the office activation code and I cannot find a copy of the activation code. I assumed that as it was pre-installed the info would be on the recovery partition. I was wrong.
I have sent an email to Sony at the email address that I had correspondance with when I bought the system (Sept 2010) but no answer after 2 weeks.
Any ideas anyone? I can't afford to buy it again.
Hi stengol and welcome.
Can you give us your Vaio model - it will be on the screen surround and start with a "V": -
Was this a custom build from Sony?
I think that is the only way you would have been able to specify to have Office Pro 2010 installed - preconfigured Vaios will have only come with Office 2010 Starter installed (or a free trial on older models) which does not require an activation code unless you are upgrading to the full version.
If you let us have the model we will have a better idea where to refer you for advice.
Just out of curiousity. Are there any notebooks with MS Office full version installed in some models? I always thought they all come with the teaser version. (trial)
Hi,
Yes it was a custom build
Model PCG-81112M
VPCF12C5E
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
@nikkilim
It is only available as one of the options if you order a Custom Build of your Vaio (CTO)

@stengol
Let me see if I can find a contact for you within Sony.
That would be great thank you Blencogo
Hi Blencogo,
any luck finding someone in Sony?
Hopefully, Vaio Support will contact you soon.
Is the VPCF-Series registered and your registration details up to date?
I always thought they all come with the teaser version.
