My Vaio is great. And I suppose it's not really exactly low-spec. But I am regretting not getting a massive hard disc and more memory.
I want to upgrade the hard disk but there's no info on the Sony site about specs.
I've looked at my laptop (the VGN-S2HP) specs online here but there's no info about hdd upgrades.
Can I just use a standard notebook hard drive to upgrade? I'll take care of the reinstallation myself etc.
Thanks for the mention in despatches Rob. Do I get some sort of medal:smileygrin:
Just a lot of kudos
Wow - what an excellent thread that was. Thanks for the link. Nice to know I can upgrade myself
Stuff warranty, I plan to live on the edge.
Goody goody, in which European country can I spend these kudos - Greece possibly?:smileywink:
You've got a happy customer though
Ooo - one more thing...
(the link i posted to the specs in my first post was totally wrong - duh)
... does anyone know what speed my current hard disk is at all? (how many rpm?)
Thanks!
Yeah, always pleasing to know that a link or solution has helped
I would guess that it runs at 4200rpm. If you go to device manager and have a look at the model then a google should give you the full specs.
Alternatively, run Everest Home Edition and you should get more info than you'll probably ever want.
