Help please
i have lost my wlan connection.
it was working fine before i went on holiday, when i came back and switched on laptop i had no connection.
i have checked all settings for d-link di-624 wireless router but cant see a problem.
i have reinstalled drivers on my vaio z1rsp,but that hasn't helped.
i know the di-624 is working because i switched on my pcg-fx901 with wireless lan card and it connected straight away.
can somebody help me with this problem
thanks in advance

LOL, this is a Windows bug. I get always the same problem.
But I have no solution. You could connect your VAIO with the Router via a the good old LAN cable. Then Windows should be able to find the Router. (this works for 70%).
If it doesn't work, then delete the WLAN settings on your VAIO and the MAC addresse on your Router (I mean the address from the wlan card).
Then reconfigure the WLAN on your VAIO. Windows should find the Router now.
Try it.
HTH
im using the lan cable now.
i have removed all the wireless lan settings but still have the same problem.
is it possible reset the wireless lan settings in the registry?
also i can see the wireless connection but it just wont connect.
the wlan icon in the task bar just has a cross in it and when it trys to connect you dont see the animated balls on the icon.
I can't help you there. It's always a pain for me too. Maybe the Microsoft Newsgroups can help you there. Select your OS and post your question in the correct forum. Then they will answer.
microsoft.public.wireless.networking is probably the best
