playing dvd

After having my PCG- K215 Z repaired because of problems in playing dvds, I realize I can read DVD but without audio. Cd's and system's audio work perfectly, but the dvd are desperately mute. Besides, Dvd Win for Vaio and Click to dvd seem to have disappear. ANy solution apart from sending it back to Sony (and lose something else)?

Hi,

Put in the recovery DVD and install WinDVD

Get this and your problems will be over. After instal go to the program files/K-Lite and get the BS Player shortcuts K-LiteCodecPack

thanks a lot, I can hear again !
any idea about how to get back the keyborad functions that work by pressing Fn and F3 or F5 etc, to control volume and light ? also this disappeared at the sony hospital.
